Asanas and their significance

Asanas are a great way of toning up the body and bringing peace to our body and mind. Different types of yoga Asanas provide benefits like giving strength and flexibility, curing illnesses and helping stress release.

Diffrent Yoga poses like Kapalabhati Pranayama Yoga, Surya Namaskar, Dhanurasana, Bhujangasana and many more yoga asanas help in keeping our waist line slim by reducing belly fat. With combining dedication, healthy eating and regular practice in yoga it can promote a happy lifestyle within and on the outer shell of our body.

For beginners taking on yoga, many stretching asanas can open the muscles of the body for the journey practicing yoga comfortable, in order to maintain in good physical health. Starting with basic yoga asanas also opens the mind to more positions you can aim to achieve in the future. Setting a goal in yoga is a great thing to do, as when achieved it can bring your great self positivity.

My favourite three Asanas and what they can do to the body/mind:

-Tadasana moving to Urdhva Vrikshasana is great on our spine, neck, hands and is said to help promote lengthen the body, creating more of an elegant profile.
-Utthita Trikonasana is a good exercise to reduce blood pressure, anxiety and stress making this also significantly beneficial for pregnant women practicing yoga. This asana also helps tone the obliques and thighs.
-Malasana pose aids in digestion meaning it can speed metabolism with at the same time opening opening your hips and groin, toning your abdominals and stretching your back and neck.
