On track to a pain free and healthier spine!

Finally! We are going to end our teaching assessment soon! It’s not that I don’t like to do Yoga or dislike my classmate’s sequence. Five hours of Yoga daily is no joke, especially when I’m dealing with my lower back injury. I have to be very cautious and aware of every movement I make in class. Have to not let my ego get over my head and scale down a movement when needed. I stopped weight lifting and picked up yoga recently to feel better, not to worsen my condition.

The occasional sharp pain and soreness are like a reminder from my body that I am not doing things the right way. So now I have learnt to listen to my body and stop when I need to.

Jess is very sharp to notice my anterior pelvic tilt standing posture and told me to tuck my tailbone in slightly and engage my core at all times. This is the most invaluable piece of advice I have heard so far in 2018. An advice that is so relatable and important for the rest of my life. I am on the right track to a pain free and healthier spine. THANK YOU JESS!

Namaste!
