The beginning of something amazing – Naomi (last post)

We completed our asana exam and theory exam this week.

Oh how intense the last week was. First staying up until the wee hours preparing the teaching sessions, then shifting over to re-memorizing sanskirt ensuring the alignments were correct. Then shifting to hitting the books/google to prepare for the asana exam. This week has felt like a full month. I kid you not.

When I was back in school, an end to an exam meant the ability to close our books and completely relax and move on. This time, for the first time in my life, I feel the need and want to open more books, practice more, and see what other yoga studios are doing in Spore and Japan and US (given I have ties to all three countries). For the first time in my life, I have learned the thirst to want to learn more, not because I have to, but because I know that is the only way I can really be of value to the people I’d like to help through the path of yoga. And it’s an amazing feeling.

The 200YTT has helped me begin a new chapter of my life. And I am grateful I was able to start it with Yoga Mandala and the ladies who were in my class. The people I have met were simply amazing. We had fun but more importantly we genuinely care for eachother and we trust each other.

Namaste!
