In a blink of an eye, I’ve entered the 8th week of my YTT class. The bonding between classmates has increased over time. At the same time, I have also fallen ill due to a viral infection and was taking a long time for me to recover. Despite that I did not want to miss any classes as I have been learning so much during every lesson.
It was a very pleasant surprise to find out that we got to use the big room for today’s lesson. We started by doing our own warm up to prepare our body for photo taking. The interesting part of our photo taking was that I learnt that each of us has different strengths, some of us are very bendy (can do chin stand scorpion effortlessly); some of us are very strong; some of us are master in inversion. It is great to be in the same class with this group of amazing classmates that have different talents.
We had so much laughter and “struggles” when we tried to take the inversion group shot. In one of our attempts at a photo, I realized my legs were not straight, I was very thankful that my classmates didn’t mind to go through the trouble to take another shot.
We continued our class with learning how to assist in inversion. Jess was like my lovely stepmother, kept reminding me not to practise tripod stand and handstand as she knew that I was nursing a wrist injury. It was difficult for me to resist the temptation to practise but I knew it was the right thing to do.
