Class energy – a teacher’s biggest obstacle
I find that one of the most challenging parts of teaching is to maintain the class energy. Perhaps it’s difficult because it’s not something that can really be taught, only self discovered. I think that good teaching has to come from a place of passion and compassion. You have to really understand the different asanas, as well as genuinely care for the well being of those attending the class. Class engagement is something that I will most likely never stop working on. I will continue to discover my voice and teaching style, and try to find ways to connect to my students and allow them to feel safe and encouraged. – M Elaine @elaine_juxtaposed
